Now learning

As of October 2026, I've finished Payments in Digital Finance, an online course by CFTE (the Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship), which I started in September. It came in two parts.

The first was on money: how it is created, public and private money, card schemes and payment infrastructure, and digital currencies such as CBDCs. The second was on payments themselves: the risks of payment accounts and networks, PSD2, fast payments and overlay services, clearing systems and card switches, how payment operations are run, from processing cycles to straight-through processing, and the economics of payments.

I write up what I learn as entries on this blog.
